- Real Estate Paralegal
Our real estate department is looking for an experienced, full-time Real Estate Paralegal who has strong computer skills and is proficient working with the following computer software programs: Microsoft Word, Propel and DoubleTime. The ideal candidate will have at least three years’ experience or more working in a law firm or title company, but we are willing to interview anyone who feels they are the right candidate.
Responsibilities include working with and assisting real estate attorneys from start to finish on both commercial and residential real estate transactions. Candidate must have experience in reviewing/preparing commercial/residential contracts, lender title requests and timelines; ordering and clearing title commitment requirements; ordering municipal lien searches, estoppels, payoffs, zoning letters, surveys and other related reports and/or services; preparing closing disclosures/ALTA settlement statements, closing and conveyance documents and other necessary legal documents; working with lenders; preparing title policies; and performing reconciliations. The candidate must be comfortable preparing and closing both commercial and residential transactions with minimal attorney oversight and supervision.
Compensation is commensurate with experience, together with an excellent benefit package.
