Ms. Abrams graduated cum laude from the University of Miami Law School, and she dedicated her career to the practice of family law. She was a fellow of the Florida chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Attorneys and has served in that organization on the Board of Managers and as chair of the Amicus Committee. Ms. Abrams was consistently listed in The Best Lawyers in America as well as in South Florida Best Lawyers; she was consistently recognized as a “Super Lawyer” by Super Lawyer’s Magazine, and she was listed as a Top Lawyer in Florida. She received an “AV” preeminent rating in Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating that can be given.
Ms. Abrams has lectured extensively in the area of Family Law, including at seminars and symposia on behalf of the Family Law Section of The Florida Bar, the Heckerling Institute on Estate Planning and Taxation, the Institute presented by the Florida chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Attorneys, the Florida Circuit Judges’ Conference and on the Internet. All seminars and symposia were Florida Bar approved for CLE credit.
Ms. Abrams is Past Chair of the Family Law Section of The Florida Bar, and has served as Vice Chair, Secretary/Treasurer and Executive Council member.
She was adjunct professor at the University of Miami School of Law for more than 10 years and at Nova Southeastern Law School, teaching courses on Family Law Litigation and Collection of Judgments.
